We are all on a personal development journey whether we know it or not. Heres my top 4 books which i found very helpful and life changing at the beginning of my conscious personal development journey.
1. Don't Sweat the small stuff by Richard Carlson. This book made a lot of sense and made a huge difference to my life.
2. Feel the Fear and do it anyway by Susan Jeffers. This book helps you learn what we are afraid of and why, how to push your comfort zone to live a more creative, joyous and loving life.
3. Rhinoceros Success by Scott Alexander
A great book to read, its easy, quick to read and i would recommend it
especially to people starting out on their personal development journey.
I re read it all last night and woke up ready to charge :) Alexander's
writing, although amusing and witty is also direct with a "no-nonsense" attitude that will wake you up, "slap you into shape" and fire you at your goal at light speed.
4. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki
"The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent
years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is that
people learn to work for money...but never to have money work for them."
So says Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad in this New York
Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and USA Today best seller.
Rich Dad, Poor Dad
will: explode the myth that you need to earn a high income to become
rich; challenge the belief that your house is an asset; show parents why
they can't rely on the school system to teach their kids about money;
define once and for all an asset and a liability; and teach you what to
teach your kids about money for their future financial success.
A quote from Gandhi "Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts
become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become
your behaviors. Keep your behaviors positive because your behaviors
become your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become
your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your
destiny."

Ultimate Blog Challenge Blog 5 Personal Development Quotes

Some of my favourite personal development quotes, there are too many to list but i have just taken a few in no particular order. I believe Personal development should be an ongoing process and the lack of it amongst other things such as goal setting is what holds people back in their journey to get to their dreams. I find quotes are a great way to aid development especially if you don't have time to read a book or you just need a quick "pick me up" or something positive to focus on.
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you always got.”
Mark Twain
"The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it,
but that it is too low and we reach it" Michelangelo
When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.
- Alexander Graham Bell
Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.
Often people attempt to live their lives backwards.
They try to have more things, or more money,
in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier.
The way it actually works is the reverse.
You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do,
in order to have what you want.
~ Margaret Young ~
"Rule #1 is: DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFFF.
Rule #2 is: IT'S ALL SMALL STUFF." - Robert Eliot
"Everyone takes a shower to get rid of the dirt on their physical bodies. So, doesn't it only make sense to clean your mind from all of the negative garbage from the outside world?" - John Di Lemme
The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
Winston Churchill
